Perimetrics, Inc. was formed by Jim Earthman, Ph.D., an expert in percussion technology and Cherilyn Sheets, D.D.S., a world renowned dentist. Robert Hayman, former CEO of Discus Dental, the global leader in direct marketing and innovator of several leading and disruptive products and devices, joined Doctors Earthman and Sheets bringing with him expertise in startups, strategy, marketing and sales. The Executive Team is rounded out by a cross-section of tenured professionals who have collectively and successfully worked in the dental space for over 30 years.

Dr. Cherilyn Sheets, Chief Dental Officer and Co-Founder of Perimetrics, Inc. Dr. Sheets oversees all clinical and diagnostic development for the company and maintains a full-time private practice in Newport Beach, California for esthetic rehabilitative dentistry.

She earned her dental degree from the USC School of Dentistry, is an international educator, clinician, author and researcher. She has received numerous awards including the 2002 Gordon Christensen Award for Excellence in Lecturing, the 2004 USC School of Dentistry Alumnus of the Year Award, the 2006 Section Honor Award from the California Section of the Pierre Fauchard International Honor Dental Academy, the 2012 Lucy Hobbs Taylor Award for Lifetime Achievement, the 2012 Honorary Membership in the American College of Prosthodontists and the 2012 Master of Innovative Research Award from the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry. She is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of Dentistry International.

Dr. Sheets is also Founder and Co-Executive Director of a non-profit teaching and research center, the Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute.

James Earthman, Chief Science Officer and Co-Founder of Perimetrics, Inc., oversees the system’s software engineering and mechanical development for the Company. He is also a Professor at the University of California, Irvine. He received his B.S. degree in Materials Science from Rice University and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University. Professor Earthman's research activities include studies of a broad range of deformation and damage mechanisms in both synthetic and biological materials, novel methods for extending the life of engineering materials as well as reducing the stability of certain deleterious materials, and the development of computer-based techniques for novel quantitative diagnostics of material characteristics and integrity.

Dr. Earthman has authored and co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed research publications including two chapters on biomaterials and tissue engineering. He is an inventor on nine issued US patents, several international patents, and two pending US patents. He has also served as editor for two books in the fields of Materials Science and Biomedical Engineering.

Kasey Pitillo is Vice President of Marketing for Perimetrics. In this role, Pitillo oversees the global marketing and management of the Perimetrics brand, including strategy, customer research, digital, social and traditional marketing, creative development, campaign effectiveness, and customer and corporate communications.

Before joining Perimetrics, Pitillo was Head of Corporate Marketing and Communications for TrueCar, Inc. During her 8 years at TrueCar, she served in a number of marketing leadership roles, including innovation, brand management, digital and direct response (TV/radio) advertising market research and corporate communications. Pitillo previously served as Vice President of Global Marketing at Laclede, Inc., the makers of the #1 dry mouth mouthwash and toothpaste and also worked at Discus Dental for 11 years where she managed and oversaw the global product introductions of over 35 dental brands to both the dental professional and consumer.

Kasey earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Communications and Political Science at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and an Executive Business Degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Business and Management. She lives in Agoura Hills, CA with her husband and their three daughters.

Kasey is also Founder of Happy Teeth, LLC., one of the nation’s leading baby toothpaste brands, selling over 300,000 tubes annually.

Sherry Fischer is Chief Financial Officer for Perimetrics, Inc.. In this role, she manages all financial functions for the Company including accounting, tax, financial planning, and treasury.

Sherry has held senior financial roles with both Discus Dental and Philips Electronics. At Discus Dental, Sherry was instrumental in growing the business from a small start-up to a $165 million premiere dental products supplier to dental professionals worldwide. Sherry’s leadership roles at Discus Dental included strategic planning, M&A, operational analysis, systems implementations, tax planning, acquisition integration and modeling of new business ventures.

Sherry earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting at California State University, Fullerton.

As CTO of Perimetrics Inc., Dr. Dennis Quan leads Perimetrics’ growing software engineering and data sciences organizations and sets the technical vision for the company. He is also an Executive-in-Residence at Duke University and has over two decades of experience applying artificial intelligence and enterprise-grade software development to create market-leading solutions in the healthcare/life sciences space.

Previously, Dr. Quan held multiple executive leadership roles at IBM, including Engineering VP for IBM's public cloud infrastructure, overseeing the integration of IBM’s $2B SoftLayer acquisition, as well as Director of the IBM Tivoli China Development Laboratory in Beijing and Shanghai. As CTO for IBM High Performance On Demand Solutions, Dr. Quan led IBM's first cloud computing initiative, a first-of-its-kind partnership with Google, the US National Science Foundation, and major universities including MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Carnegie Mellon in 2007 to accelerate Big Data research and classroom instruction. He has a number of patents in the area of enterprise transaction processing and has also published dozens of research papers in leading conferences in the fields of Human-Computer Interaction, Bioinformatics, and Semantic Web.

Dr. Quan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from MIT as well as bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Chemistry, also from MIT.

Scott Mejia is Vice President of Operations for Perimetrics, Inc. In this role, he manages the Global Supply Chain development and Manufacturing Systems Development for the Company. He also oversees Product Development and serves as a liaison to the Regulatory Group for FDA submission and approvals.

Mejia has held global operations executive leadership roles for over 22 years with some of the world’s most recognized dental companies, including Discus Dental, Denmat Dental Products and Danville Materials. He was the key operations executive during the hyper growth years at Discus Dental, developing world class global operations utilizing lean manufacturing principles. After leaving Discus Dental, Scott worked for Denmat Dental Products, spearheading the company’s restructuring effort and overseeing cost consolidation within the manufacturing groups and dental lab operations. He was also responsible for a company-wide move to a new, efficient facility in Lompoc, CA.

Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management with and emphasis in Operations Management at California State University, Fullerton. He currently lives in Orange County, CA with his two children.

Robert Hayman, CEO and Chairman of The Board for Perimetrics, Inc., is a seasoned entrepreneur, leader and operator with over 30+ years of experience in the global commercialization of professional and consumer dental products. Prior to becoming CEO and COB at Perimetrics, Inc., Robert was CEO and Co-Founder of Discus Dental, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer & distributor of tooth-whitening, oral hygiene & aesthetic dental products. With his vison, strategy, and transformational marketing efforts, his leadership forever changed the course of dental history. During his tenure, he was responsible for the development and launch of such ground-breaking professional take-home teeth whitening products as Nite White, Day White, Breath Rx, Zoom!, and Brite Smile. Robert and his partner, Bill Dorfman, DDS single-handedly disrupted the sleepy, conservative dental industry by bringing in an entirely new category of innovative products. Mr. Hayman led Discus Dental from a young, start-up to a mature company generating annual revenues approaching $200MM with a global footprint in almost 20 countries. This success catapulted Discus Dental into becoming the #1 direct global manufacturer of dental products & devices. Philips (Sonicare Division) acquired the company in 2010.

Some of the Boards where Robert has served as Director are Alphaeon (a subsidiary of Strathspey Crown), the Malibu Chamber of Commerce, The House Ear Institute, AMPS (Advocates for Malibu Public Schools) and America’s Tooth Fairy (National Children’s Oral Health Foundation) where he was a co-founding member, The Children’s Dental Center, and the National Advisory Council of the Smiles for Life Foundation.  He currently serves on the Board of Evolus and the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce.

Robert graduated with a BA from Boston University, attended Sorbonne University in Paris, France, and pursued a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University. Robert lives with his wife of 20 years and two children in Malibu, CA.
